    Our Process

    We work closely with our clients to understand your vision and goals. This creates a tailored approach to meet your specific needs. Our Pilot has experience in many areas within the drone industry. We can help figure out what you are trying to convey with your project. Owner and chief pilot Scott being Part 107 certified he has the ability to fly within 5 mile radius of an airport, and knowledge in writing airspace authorizations to get authorized to fly above the posted limit, this is where our processes really flies above the rest.

    Remote Pilots have a better understanding of our air surroundings, which allows us to fly in airspace that uncertified pilots cannot (within 5 miles of airports). We are tested on airspace knowledge every 2 years.  This technology-heavy industry has a lot of detailed nuances, I can align those with the project so you can get the results you want. I am skilled in emergency procedures in the event of losing signal with a controller and drone that allows the job to be safely conducted.

    Aviation insurance is important because this provides you (my client) with protection for your business and your clients.  In the event of an accident this will protect property damages. This can range from $1M to $10M in coverage depending on the project.  

    An in-house team will likely have other responsibilities within the organization other than simply planning drone flights, so safety and overall risk mitigation could be missed.  My sole focus is to make sure your project is conducted safely and from a different perspective with the least amount of risk.  The drone industry being relatively young there are still a lot of detailed nuances that I have experience with to keep your project on course and on time.

    Drones can help in a big way! They immediately mitigate the huge risk of your crew by providing a very detailed "first look" of a roof.  This allows your crew to better understand where damage might be before ever stepping foot on that roof.  I can provide your team with a roof damage report and/or measurement report.

    Drones can help you better understand the layout of the space.  I can use a drone to completely model a space and have pinpoint accuracy.  I can create reports showing points of interest, safety plans, and high/low traffic areas.  Use the contact us page to provide an example.

    PicAdvenTure is a play on the words.  Chief Pilot/Owner Scott and his wife Christina came up with picture adventure and mashed the two words together to create the name of the company.

    A Remote Pilot In Command is a FAA certificated pilot that is in charge of the particular job.  This means they are ultimately the one responsible to make sure all airspace authorizations have been filed, flight patterns are followed, and risk has been mitigated.

    An Ortho-mosaic is a large number of pictures all stitched together to make a large very detailed image of an area. These can be used for planning, progress reporting, fire mitigation, and search and rescue.

    Who is the Remote Pilot In Command?

    Hello, my name is Scott Conley, an entrepreneur who has always had an interest in remote-controlled gadgets. I created PicAdvenTure Drones (PATD) based on my fascination with these highly effective tools called drones. The real moment I was able to see the vision of PATD came from a newspaper article regarding the FAA certification, Part 

    Hello, my name is Scott Conley, an entrepreneur who has always had an interest in remote-controlled gadgets. I created PicAdvenTure Drones (PATD) based on my fascination with these highly effective tools called drones. The real moment I was able to see the vision of PATD came from a newspaper article regarding the FAA certification, Part 107.  This provided me with a value proposition that I could utilize these time and money-saving tools in the places that many other photographers deem too confusing or have not bothered to get certified with the FAA. My wonderful wife Christina supported me in the creation and ultimate starting of this business since its inception back in 2017 in Centennial Colorado.  In 2019, we moved from the Denver Metro area to Glenwood Springs in western Colorado where we currently call home.
